Are there preservatives, flavours and colorants in bread?
No. All of our breads are made entirely with natural ingredients - without preservatives; without flavours and colorants; without hydrogenated fats; without E-numbers. Due to the lack of preservatives, the shelf life of our breads is quite short - from 3 to 5 days depending on their type. We transport the bread from the place of production to the trade network and sales point daily, so that you enjoy fresh bread every day.
Do you use live yeast?
Yes. Live yeast is an integral part of all of our breads. We have transferred ancient fermentation technology to modern environment, yet we fully retained the principle of using only flour and water. That’s it! The mixture needs 24 hours to turn into a liquid leaven and be ready to give life to each of our breads.
What flour do you use?
We combine different varieties of wheat in order to create the perfect mix of grains. We grind the required amount of the four main types of flour - white, standard, “Dobrudja” and wholegrain and we are ready to make bread.
By tracking the flour we use from the farmland, through the mill and all the way to the oven, we can guarantee the optimal and consistent quality of our breads.
Do you use GMO wheat?
No. The import of GMO wheat in Bulgaria is prohibited. We use high quality Bulgarian wheat for all of our breads.
What does wholegrain bread mean?
When choosing wholegrain bread, make sure that the first ingredient in its content is namely wholegrain flour. When preparing wholegrain flour the most important thing is to preserve all the components of the grain when grinding it. Thus, it contains nutrients in the natural proportions of the grain, which makes it the most natural product. Our breads from the "Zhivena" series are made of 100% wholegrain flours derived from wheat, rye or spelt. You can see all the breads from "Zhivena" series here.
Are Simid breads suitable for vegans and vegetarians?
Yes. All our breads are made with natural plant ingredients. The plant sources of protein in our breads from the "Zhivena" series contribute to the balanced menu of people who do not consume foods of animal origin.
Is there fibre in bread?
Every bread contains fibre. The amount of fibre is higher in wholegrain breads and breads with added grains and seeds. Two slices of our “Zhivena” breads contain about 6 g of fibre or about 25% of the recommended daily intake of fibre (25 g). It is advisable to consume more foods containing fibre for a healthy and balanced menu.
Why fat value in breads with nuts and seeds is higher?
The value of fat is higher because nuts and seeds are natural sources of fat. The good news is that they contain beneficial unsaturated fats, as well as fibre and a variety of vitamins and minerals.

Clean label is our quality standard. Noticing the "Clean label" symbol on the package, you can rest assured that the bread is made entirely with natural ingredients and is preservative-free; without flavours and colorants; without hydrogenated fats; without E-numbers.

What types of breads are offered by Simid?
We prepare bread for every taste. We are constantly creating new recipes to meet the changing preferences of our customers, while maintaining the authentic taste and uncompromising quality of bread.
We have arranged the breads we make into six main categories:
"Zhivena" series - breads of 100% wholegrain flours with a variety of whole nuts and seeds added. Healthy pleasure to enjoy.
Toaster breads - our toaster breads, as their name suggests, are made for excellent toaster sandwiches, but are just as delicious without toasting. You can choose between white, standard type, rye and wholegrain toaster bread.
"Rustic bread" series - breads prepared according to traditional recipes, preserving centuries-old traditions. All breads in this series are characterized by a crispy crust and velvety environment.
"Special" series - the breads from this series contain the perfect combination of different types of wheat flour, which guarantees at the same time irresistible taste, fluffy environment and maximum health benefits. Their characteristic sprinkling of various grains and seeds is the final touch, which makes them a favourite bread for children and adults.
"Approved standard" series - this series includes all breads that are integral part of the Bulgarian table - breads with the nutritional qualities you need and the taste you love. No compromises in quality.
Series "Classic" – well-known to everyone classic breads, prepared with live yeast and selected Bulgarian wheat - white bread, standard type bread, bread "Dobrudja" type.
